A Russian citizen, who was trying to get to Hungary with the passport belonging to another person, was detected this morning by border guards of the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment at the Luzhanka border crossing point.

A 26-year-old Russian showed a Ukrainian passport during the passport control procedure. In the course of identification, the border guards immediately noticed that the document provided by the foreigner did not belong to him. The man admitted that he planned to go transiting through Hungary to Austria, but did not have a visa, so he decided to use someone else's document. The trickster had a valid passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

For committing an offense under part 1 of article 204 of the Code of Administrative Offenses “Illegal crossing or attempt of illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”, a protocol was drawn up against a foreigner. The sanction of this article provides the liability in the form of a fine of 3400 to 8500 hryvnias or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
